SEL indicators workgroup - 2017-19
The Social Emotional Learning Indicators Workgroup, being facilitated by the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), convened on September 22nd, 2017. The will be working over the next 2 years to recommend SEL Indicators that align with the Benchmarks recommended in 2016 (see September 30, 2016 report below). This Workgroup will be submitting a report to the Legislature in June of 2018.

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Benchmarks Workgroup
In the 2014 Supplemental Budget, ESSB 6052 Sec 501 (34) directed OSPI to convene a workgroup “to recommend comprehensive benchmarks for developmentally appropriate interpersonal and decision-making knowledge and skills of social and emotional learning for grades kindergarten through high school that build upon what is being done in early learning.” The workgroup will submit its report with recommendations to the education committees of the legislature, and the office of the governor by October 1, 2016. |
